Oh Ipo...

My lil girl Ipo is the sweetest to me. She loves to snuggle and hang out with me while I'm home. With my pionus Musiq though, she just taunts. I don't get it. He will try to avoid her as much as possible, but she'll fly right over to his cage and try to get a rise out of him. It's kinda funny how feisty she is, but worrisome at the same time. They've gotten into it before while they were both out for playtime, but I was right there to stop it before she really got herself hurt. Does anyone else have this problem with their parrotlet? What did you do about it?

I don't have a parrotlet but one of my two Pionus' usually (but not always) flies over to my Congo Grey's cage to pick a fight with him. She (my BW Pi) is about 6 years older than my CAG and he is very intimidated by her - even though he is double her size! She will chase him off the top of his cage. He always ends up climbing 1/2 - 3/4 of the way down the side of his cage; or if he's on the 'porch' he ends up hanging upside down from it while she is on top tyring to bite his feet!

Sounds like a typical parrotlet! I've not got one myself but I've met a few and I've never met birds with bigger personalities squeezed into such teensy bodies.
Ipo sounds like a blast!
