This is the Maximilian that one of the parents bit off his entire right wing and right foot.

July 12th, '09

Great News!! We have one baby Bronze Wing Pionus that hatch out in the incubator! There is only 1 baby and the other 2 eggs was infertile. He hatched successfully at 1:am on July 12th 2009. I show him on the following 3 videos that I put on YouTube. Enjoy!

This is the Bronze Wing egg in the brooder during hatching.

I was waiting and waiting for him to push his way out of the egg and then I almost missed it! He isa strong little guy!

The little guy makes it out of the egg all on his own!

Here is the 2 day old Bronze Wing Pionus all cuddled up with his lion companion!

The BW hatchling gets fed every two hours at this age between the hours of 6 am to midnight.

The 3 Blue Front Amazon babies were brought in from the nest on July 12th. They were hatched on 6/25, 6/27, 6/29.

Aug. 13th, 2009

Oh boy, a long over due update on the babies! They are all feathered out and doing quite well. The baby Bronze Wing did die at about 5 days old, food stopped digesting. I've lagged behind on getting new photos placed on the page here but will try to fit it in soon.
